Founding Organizations

Highly committed, visionary and innovative Founding Universities are joining the Institute and becoming actively involved in the work. Founding Universities share the NCFI vision, values, and statement of faith. They have the opportunity to have faculty representation on the Institute committees, design curriculum, develop resources, provide guidance in policy, and be worldwide leaders in this exciting new endeavor

The work of the Institute includes biblically based curriculum in areas such as the Art and Science of Spiritual Care, Christian Leadership, Professional and Clinical Ethics, and Faith Community Nursing. Databases which include universities, hospitals, and nurse leaders connect experts in areas of need in education, clinical practice and collaborative research. Scholarly resources link nurse leaders worldwide and facilitate collaborative networks.  The Institute continues to seek Founding Universities worldwide.  The current Founding Universities are listed below:

Biola University

Biola University offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing which is accredited by the California Board of Registered Nursing, and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The program is designed to prepare graduates for a career in professional nursing.

California Baptist University

The mission of the California Baptist University School of Nursing is to educate competent, responsible, caring, and professional nurses prepared from a biblical worldview to serve locally, nationally and globally; revering the human dignity of all persons created in the image of God.

Colorado Christian University

CCU’s Nursing Programs embrace the truth of Scripture as the foundation for those who are called to the nursing profession and desire to grow in their knowledge of nursing as ministry. The Pre-licensure BSN degree is offered for adults in an alternative delivery format. The RN-BSN and MSN degree options are offered online.

Indiana Wesleyan University
